In the lead up to this year’s 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, Soundings guest contributor Chris Beswick tells us about the AVRO aircraft museum at Woodfield airfield near Manchester, where many iconic aircraft were built. He also talks to a wartime veteran who recalls his personal memories of serving as a radio operator in the iconic AVRO Lancaster bomber.
