Marked this year on 12th July is National Simplicity Day, an awareness day that celebrates the philosophy of American Naturalist Henry David Thoreau. Thoreau believed that through simpler living, amongst nature and comparing wants against needs, people could find the true essence of life and a good spiritual balance.
