TNF Soundings provides free, high quality audio content for Talking Newspapers, Talking Magazines and Hospital & Community Radios to broadcast to people living with sight loss or other disabilities that make reading difficult. Our content is split into two categories:
Information
Audio publications which provide information relevant to either a visually impaired audience, a print disabled audience, or both.
Time Out
Audio publications which cover a variety of leisure activities including hobbies, literature, culture and entertainment.
Our primary aim is to provide interesting and useful articles for use by local Talking Newspapers and Magazines, Hospital and Community Radio stations. Individuals may also listen direct. Both organisations and individuals may access the content on this website, by email or by signing up to our podcasts. More details may be found on the Accessing Our Content page.
We are not a commercial organisation and all our articles are designed to be fair, impartial, apolitical and objective. All our content is free to hear, download and broadcast as long as broadcasters use articles in full without editing. Please read the terms and conditions of use before broadcasting any of our content.
TNF Soundings is delivered by the Talking News Federation, a charity which is the umbrella organisation for local talking newspapers and magazines. TNF Soundings took over the delivery of this audio content service from Infosound in autumn 2020.
