Summary
To remember this year’s 81st anniversary of VE Day, Soundings guest contributor Chris Beswick reminisces with 102-year old Nancy Bailey who talks about her experiences in the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force during the Second World War. We hear about her early life, how she chose the WAAF, some of her jobs in the air force and hitching a lift to a new posting in the back of a Lancaster bomber.
