Soundings contributor Lindsay brings us the story of International Assistance Dog Day, marked each year on 4th August. She explains how the founder of this awareness day and celebration week was inspired – and goes on to outline the different types of assistance dogs. We also hear a brief recap of Guide Dogs’ humble beginnings and we’re treated to some sniffed-out fun facts about unusual deployment of natural doggy abilities.
