The very first Eye Care Liaison Officer was appointed in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, in 1994 and was employed by the RNIB in partnership with the NHS. Here, Soundings contributor Roger looks back on a successful 30 years and how Eye Care Liaison Officers have become an indispensable service for those with sight loss.
