Soundings contributor Colin brings us the story about Laurel and Hardy’s UK tour. At the beginning of the 1950s the popularity of Laurel and Hardy was beginning to wane. The once most-loved comedy act in the world turned from the movies to live appearances and embarked on a taxing UK tour promoted by the legendary theatrical impresario, Bernard Delfont.
