Summary

Soundings contributor Lindsay looks back at 60 years of the iconic TV animation ‘The Magic Roundabout’. Based on an original French programme, The Magic Roundabout first appeared on UK TV in autumn 1965. It quickly won fans from all ages and offered an early example of audio-described action that allowed visually impaired people to enjoy the show as much as their sighted counterparts.
